Children’s Ministry

Each Sunday morning, children get to participate in Sunday School it begins at 9:15am in the Sanctuary. We begin with music then we move upstairs for our lesson. We are beginning a new unit called Under Construction! We are encouraging all children Pre-K-5th grade to come and join us!! Classes are currently led by Sarah Crochet and Eric Jeanise. WE ARE RESUMING FACE TO FACE MEETINGS ON FATHERS’ DAY SUNDAY.
 

Youth Ministry

Each Sunday morning, youth get to participate in Sunday School. We open Sunday school time in the Sanctuary at 9:15. Our Youth program is on Sunday evenings from 4:30-6:00pm grades 6th-12th are invited to attend. Our youth attend many different types of events throughout the year and every summer for the past 12 years we go on a summer trip whether it be Mission or Spiritual. Our youth director is Crystal Benoit which has been leading our youth for the past 5 years as director if you have any questions about our youth program she would be more than happy to talk to you. Women’s Sunday School 

Every Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. all women are invited to join us for ladies Sunday School via Zoom. We are temporarily meeting in a virtual aspect until further notice. Our Sunday school group just began a study series on Mary and Martha. The book is titled Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World. The book and study guide are written by Joanna Weaver, and RightNow Media has a video series facilitated by the author to guide our time together. We would invite all our JUMC ladies to join us in this series, even if you cannot connect with us virtually. Please contact the church office for any questions regarding ordering study books or how to set up your RightNow Media account through our church’s subscription.
 

United Methodist Women’s Group

The United Methodist women are a group of women who normally meet every other 2nd Thursday of the month at 11:30 a.m. They meet for a light lunch, they are involved with various missions through the church and the community. THE JUMC UMW WILL TEMPORARILY NOT BE MEETING DUE TO COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING PARAMETERS.

 

Men’s Class Sunday School

Another men’s class is offered on Sunday mornings it is held at 9:30 a.m. They meet in the choir room and this class is led by Dan Donald. THIS CLASS IS TEMPORARILY NOT MEETING IN PERSON DUE TO THE COVID-19 SOCIAL DISTANCING PARAMETERS. 

 

Women’s Bible Study

We currently have a Women’s Bible Study group that meets on Wednesdays. We have just begun a new study series titled What the Women Saw . Our small group provides an environment that encourages growth, study, sharing, and prayer. This time offers a chance to fellowship with other Christian women in an environment that fosters learning and the building of great friendships. Our small group has resumed face to face meetings on Wednesdays at 3:00 p.m.
